Gurbani Kirtan Classes
Our mission is to provide a unified platform where our children can learn Gurbani Kirtan in a progressive manner. Kirtan, described as the singing and performing of devotional music in accordance with the teachings of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji, forms the core of our curriculum. It is based on Gurmat Sangeet and teaches the musical recitation of Gurbani in Raags.
Harmonium Classes
Harmonium classes led by Gurmeet Singh Ji are held on Friday evenings from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm at our Gurudwara, provided for the past decade. His humility is evident as he shares his knowledge, embodying the spirit of Seva. Besides Harmonium, he also teaches Shabad Kirtan, preparing students for performances in the Darbar Sahib. Gurmeet Singh Ji's teaching approach fosters a learning environment rooted in devotion. His guidance transcends music, instilling a deep connection to the spiritual essence of Gurbani in his students.
Tabla Classes
Tabla classes are held on Friday evenings from 5:30pm to 7:00pm, led by Rajvinder Singh ji, a classically trained artist, performer, and teacher who has played Tabla with world-renowned master musicians and instrumentalists. His career has been marked by numerous awards, including the National Award in India. With decades of experience, he continues to teach and inspire others to learn the Tabla.Hemkunt Speech
The Hemkunt Speech Symposium is a prestigious platform that encourages young minds to explore and articulate the rich teachings of Sikhism. At our Roseville Punjabi school, we take pride in fostering participation in this inspiring event, which not only deepens students’ understanding of Sikh history, values, and culture but also builds their confidence and public speaking skills. Through this competition, our students have the unique opportunity to represent their local community, with many advancing to state and national levels.
